The current Stable Version is 2.5 but it gets an update every month and the Latest Version is 3.0RC2 which you can get from the forum Believe me, it nearly does everything that commercial music manager's does perfectly and even more, that too for *FREE*. Oh my! I was really impressed with it's power it gave me to organize and play my music collection. After being a Winamp lover for it's features through the years and then switching to customizable power of Foobar, I finally found something that is the best of both worlds. And I scrolled through the list to find one of the greatest freeware gems I found. Which I assume will be fixed as soon as I can run the backup, which would be fixed once I purchase the unlocker from the google store.A few weeks ago I was reading through list of Best Free Software's For New PC and found so many great freebies in that. If it matters the error message read: "java.ioFIleNotFoundException: /storage/emulated/0//gmmp/stats.xml: open failed: EPERM (Operation not permitted)." If I can solve that, then I've found my music player lol. GoneMad uses the stats from file but I couldn't get it to sync back into MusicBee because of the missing stats.xml. PowerAmp doesn't use the ratings from the file, which MusicBee would have, and so using it was okay to sync into MusicBee but awful to take stats from it.
So I guess the question is, is it true you can't access the backup option (to create the stats.xml) when you're using the trial app? If that's the case then I suppose we've the solution to the issue lol. Did some more searching and one forum post mentions that because they're trial they don't have access to it. But I was searching on how to make the stats.xml as that is why the MusicBee Wifi Sync app is failing (can't find it), and I saw pref -> general -> backup but noticed I can't see that option.
